Thinking about Rule of the Bone #9

What big, life-changing decision does Bone make in chapter 14 (Crossing the Bar)? Do you think it's a good decision, a bad decision, or more complicated than that? Explain and support your answer. Show me that you understand Bone and his situation. Convince me that you're right.

  1. going to jamaica. i think it is a good decision because hes with i man and away from everyone else but he cant loose i man and he better stick to the tourist side. jamaica is a very ghetto community compared to the ghetto that chappies use to.

  2. chappie decides to go to Jamaica with I-man. So chappie decides to use buster browns money and buy 2 ticket to jamaica. I think that it was a good decision to to because he has no one to live with. I-man is his family so he went with I-man.

bone chooses to go to Jamaica with I man, I think that moving to Jamaica was a good choice. there was no place for bone to go besides the bus. Jamaica isn't a great place because of crime rate and corrupt politicians but a better place than a run down bus.

  5. The life changing decision Bone makes in chapter 14 was that he left for Jamaica. I think that decision was a good one, because Bone didn't have anywhere else to go in America, and he could have better opportunity's in Jamaica. Also I think he feels more at home with I-Man. He can talk to him, and I-Man seems to be his role model.

  7. Chappies life-changing decision is that he decides to go to Jamaica. I think it is a good choice. He has already left his home and has nothing to return to. He has been traveling around for months and now he has been following I-Man. Chappie being with I-Man has made his life better. Chappie is no longer making bad choices and if he lives with I-Man he has a place to live. Another great thing to come out of it is he knows his dad is in Jamaica so he may be able to see him. -cough cough-

  9. The decision Chappie makes is going to Jamacia with I-man. I think this is a good idea, because he is moving away from Ken, and his other problems, and he is living with someone he will actually trust. If he adjusts to his location, this could change Chappies life.

  10. i think it would be a good decision because he has no where to really call home and so if he goes to jamaca he might be able to find his dad and also be with iman.

  11. Bone chooses to go to Jamaica with I-Man. I think this is a good idea because he is getting very far away from his hometown and problems he has there. Also his father is in Jamaica.

  13. I think its a very good choice that chappie is going to jamica with i-man mainly because his mom doesn't want him home an her boy friends a freak plus i-man is like chappie role model so it would be good for them to both live in jamica.

  14. 9) My opinion about Bone going to Jamaica with I-man was a big step for Bone. He can start a new and get away from Au Sable and other the problems that he has to face there. Bone can also see his dad there and maybe live with him because his mom dosn't want anything to do with him.Over all this a good choice for Chappie and Bone.
