Thinking about Rule of the Bone #8

In chapter 12 ("Over the River and through the Woods") what do you think is interesting and significant about what Chappie's grandmother tells Chappie about his real father? Include at least four details in your response. Explain exactly what makes the details interesting or significant.

Four things his Grandmother said were, you talk like your father, you always look for people during problems like your father, you talk like your high like your father, and you always put people down like your father. I thought these were interesting, because it makes it sound like Chappies dad was a bad person, just like Chappie. This shows that Chappie is a lot more like his dad then Chappie thinks.

  2. what i think is really interisting about chappie reall father would probably be that he lives in jamaica.

    and that he made good money so they he could live a goo life.

    and that he had a really nice car.

What i think was interesting and significant about Chappies real father is he worked as a medical technician, he was from mass or maine, he had another girlfriend on the side, and he made alot of money. I think its interesting that he worked as a medical technician because he took x rays of people

  7. Four things I found interesting is how she said Chappie was like his father. The way he talked, and how he always talks like he is high, always putting people down and how he always looks to people when he has a problem, and that he is in Jamaica. This kinda opens Chappies eyes and this leads in to the next part of his adventure.

  8. that is father is also a drug addict and alcoholic similiar to his mom. chappie compares his father to jfk shoing that he wants his dad to be a significant figure in his life and society. she tells him his father moves to the carribean or jamaica which is intresting because i man just moved back to jamaica.

  10. I think it was interesting to learn his Father made his Grandmother nervous, and his name was Paul. There are rummers of him doing coke, because he didn't act normal so his Mom thought he did. He was seeing other women so that's why they divorced, and his Grandmother made sure they did.

  11. Chappies grandmother was saying chappie was similar to his father in many ways like the way he talks. She also said that he made a ton of money an that he worked in the medical field. And she said that chappies dad mom to jamica or a tropical police.
